SwayTale stores saved stories and viewing progress in your browser. These features do not require an account.

Privacy-preserving analytics

SwayTale uses Google Analytics 4 and PostHog to understand page visits, searches, saves, episode playback duration, progress, playback errors and how viewers move through stories. PostHog runs in cookieless server hash mode and does not store analytics cookies, session storage or local storage on your device. Its privacy-preserving server hash is used to estimate unique visitors, and the source IP is discarded.

Google Analytics uses first-party analytics storage outside regions where prior consent is required. In those regions, and when a supported Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal is enabled, analytics storage remains denied. Advertising storage, Google Signals, advertising personalization, PostHog session replay and analytics person profiles remain disabled.

We use aggregated analytics to improve story discovery, playback and site performance. Google and PostHog process analytics data under their own privacy terms.

Advertising

SwayTale does not currently load third-party advertising on ordinary visits. If advertising is enabled, this notice will identify the provider and purposes before personalized advertising storage is used. Where required, a consent-management platform will offer the applicable choices before non-essential advertising technology loads.

Information you provide

If you contact us, we use the information you send to answer the request and keep records needed to resolve support, rights or privacy reports. Future account or Remix features will receive their own clear notices before collecting identity, likeness or payment information.

Your choices

You can use your browser's Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track setting to limit supported analytics collection and clear analytics or local viewing data through your browser. For access, deletion or other privacy requests, contact [email protected].
